Phillip Haynes became a member of Hill Crest in 1975.  He became an active member of the Youth Group under the direction of Bro. Rick in 1977.  Phillip joined the Hill Crest Staff in 1999 as bi-vocational Junior High Youth Director.  After working in the construction business for over twenty years, fifteen of which were self-employed along with his oldest brother, Mike, Phillip became a full-time staff member in January 2000 as Director of Buildings and Grounds and Junior High Youth Director.  After realizing in 2002 that the Building and Grounds position was more than a full time job alone, Phillip gave up the Junior High Youth position and focused totally on the growing needs and care of the Hill Crest properties.

Phillip graduated from Wellborn High School in 1980, met his wife, Rhonda Haynes in 1981 and they married in July of 1982.  They have two children, Maghen Haynes (soon to be married to David “Tree” Osborne) and Dustin Haynes.
