If you are having surgery or have had a death in
the family, please remember to take a minute to call the church
office. (Due to the hundreds of people who talk to our ministers during
service times, we ask that you please do not expect them to remember surgery
or death information when told in the hallways.)
-
Due to the large number of weddings and babies
being born at Hill Crest, we make the facilities available for baby and bridal
showers. Families and friends will be responsible for all showers and teas.
Advertisement for all showers and teas is up to the family. When such
announcements are in the bulletin/power page they appear to be church
sponsored, so we have had to discontinue these sources of advertisements.
Addresses to Hill Crest members for invitations are available from the church
office.
-
The deadline to turn in announcements for the
bulletin and projection system is Wednesday night. We do not allow time in
our Sunday services for announcements. Turn these requests in to the church
office.
-
Any time you want to reserve any of the
buildings, vehicles, or other church property, please contact the church
office to verify availability.
-
Any class or organization using the church
vehicles needs to be sure all trash is picked up inside and the gas is
replaced upon return to the church.
-
Anyone making purchases charged to the church or
wanting to be reimbursed for a purchase MUST follow this procedure:
-
Clear the request with the department
supervisor.
-
When a purchase is going to be made or an
order is going to be placed, a purchase order must be filled out BEFORE
doing so.
-
AFTER the purchase order has been approved,
then the order or purchase may take place. Most of the time this approval
is given immediately.
-
When making the charge to the church, please
give the vendor the purchase order number so it may be written on the
invoice.
-
Deliver the invoice to the church office.
-
If this procedure is not followed the
individual may be responsible for payment and will be required to meet
with the finance committee.
-
A drop box is in the hallway and outside the
administration building, if you need to place anything in one of them for the
library or a staff member.
-
There is a room available in the nursery to
parents who need to take care of their infant’s needs during the service.
-
Parents of babies and toddlers should label
their child’s bottles, cups, and pacifiers before taking him/her to the
nursery department.
-
All diaper bags MUST have a diaper bag tag on it
when the child is brought to the nursery. These tags are available from any
nursery worker.
-
When a child is brought to the nursery the
parent is given a form of identification that they have to bring back to the
nursery when they come to pick up their child. Only an adult with this
identification will be given the child.
-
As the nursery department grows, workers are
needed, even those who would just sit in a rocking chair with a baby. Contact
Cindy Brannan for further information.
-
It’s important that the parents of children in
the children’s ministry know your child’s ID number. This is our only method
of contact, if a parent is needed during a service. If you are a church
member and your child has not been assigned a number, please contact the
church office as soon as possible.
-
Please remember that no child in our children’s
department will be released in the care of a person under the age of eighteen,
not even the sibling of the child. Only those persons listed on your child’s
enrollment form can pick up your child. If you need to add an adult to the
list, please inform your child’s teacher.
-
It is very important that our children’s
department has an enrollment form on file for every child. This
form contains information that helps us provide a safe environment for your
child, such as medical information, allergies, and the names of the persons
who can pick up your child from class. If you have not completed an
enrollment form on each of your children from nursery babies through
fifth graders, please see your child’s teacher. If any information needs to
be changed, it will be the responsibility of the parent to update the form.
Please contact your child’s teacher for the form.
-
If your child brings a visitor with him/her to
church, please make arrangements to arrive early to get a visitor number
assignment for the day. The adult bringing the child and the visiting
child will be issued matching bracelets providing the temporary identification
number. Please report to the bottom floor of the children’s building with any
visitors.
-
We ask that no preschool child change Sunday
School or Children’s Church classes after the beginning of the church year,
which begins in the children’s department the Sunday after public school
begins its new school year. It is in the best interest of the preschoolers if
they promote to the next teacher as a group, instead of at the birthday of the
child.
-
We now have members who require van accessible
handicap parking. This situation requires parking spaces beside striped
areas. We have signs in front of these spaces designating them van
accessible. Please honor these areas and do not park in the striped places so
those who need them will have access.
-
Anyone using the fellowship hall and kitchen for
their class or group functions is responsible for the cleaning and taking out
the trash. Please don’t leave dishes with food in them on the counters or in
the refrigerator.
