A Biblical View of Addiction

Luke 5:32    I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance

Mark 16:15 ...Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

    MISSION STATEMENT

  1. Our primary goal is to share with addicts and alcoholics the hope we have found in Christ.
  2. We are led by the Holy Spirit to share the freedom from addiction we have received with those who are struggling.
  3. Weekly meetings are held so that we can help others face and overcome the trap of addiction.
  4. We offer a confidential visitation program as well as one on one peer counseling.

The New Wine Ministry is a dynamic ministry that started at Hill Crest in October of 2000.  It was started because today’s society is being devastated by the ever increasing number of people who are getting caught in the trap of drug and alcohol addiction.

Thanks be to God, we have New Wine members who have, through the power of Christ, been able to overcome their addictions and renew healthy, spiritual lives.  These members are not professional counselors or therapists.  We are just people who have a burden for people suffering from addiction.

Weekly meetings are held by New Wine to provide a place for people to come and share feelings and problems with others who have already faced and overcome the traps of addiction.  Members find these meetings to be an endless source of strength and joy as we grow together in Christ.

Please allow us to offer our ministry to you.  We encourage you to come and participate in our ministry, to learn about it, and if you are a member of another church to spread this ministry to your church.

If you or someone you know has a loved one suffering from addiction, please feel free to attend our weekly meetings on Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM.  We meet in room 208 in the R.O.C.K.
