Hill Crest Baptist Church

Cindy Brannan began her ministry at Hill Crest as nursery director on Aug. 16, 1995. She came to Hill Crest with many years of experience, starting young in the nursery ministry at the church in which she grew up. Our nursery is designed to provide a sanitary environment as we follow guidelines set up by medical professionals. We are committed to provide our children with a safe and friendly atmosphere where they can begin learning how Jesus loves them.

Our nursery director, and our nursery coordinator, work hard to ensure our nursery is adequately staffed and equipped to provide the best atmosphere and quality care for your child. With the concern that is published about viruses we have decided to concentrate our efforts for precaution to our nursery. We have an AIDS policy in effect, which includes strict cleaning instructions after each diaper change. Every surface in the nursery including toys, sheets, walkers, swings, etc. is cleaned to protect your child.

We now have a private area for moms who want to feed or change their babies. Also, we have established a designated area for your toddler (A baby is considered to be a toddler if he/she is 12-24 months old. A child promotes to the 2 year old class at the beginning of the school year. This coincides with the children’s department promotional schedule).

Security continues to be a high priority. When a child enters the nursery, the parent or guardian is given an ID number. If the parent or guardian is needed during the worship service, this ID number is displayed in the worship center. The badge given when the baby is checked into the nursery must be returned when the child is picked up. Our babies are not given to siblings. The parent or guardian must pick up their baby.

Our nursery has a paging system in place for babies brought to the nursery for Sunday School. If a nursery worker needs a parent during Sunday School, we can page them.

We encourage ALL parents to take advantage of this ministry. Remember there is a room available for you to change or feed your babies, when that unexpected need arises. The nursery is located on the bottom floor of the children’s building.

As you can see we take our nursery ministry very seriously. If any man or woman 18 years old or older is interested in serving in this area one service every 7-8 weeks, please contact our nursery director.
